Danniella Westbrook wants to be Queen Vic landlady

Danniella Westbrook wants to return to ‘EastEnders’ as landlady of the Queen Vic pub.
The 46-year-old actress first appeared on the BBC soap as Sam Mitchell 30 years ago and she is so desperate to return that she has even come up with her own idea for a new storyline for Sam, which involves going into direct competition with her onscreen brother Phil Mitchell, played by Steve McFadden and his wife Sharon (Letitia Dean).
Danniella told the Daily Star newspaper: "I would like to go back to ‘EastEnders’. I’d like to go back and take the Queen Vic over, I’d love to.
"I think Sam should buy it behind Phil’s back. Her and Sharon don’t get on anyway.
"She can give Sharon some hell, sleep with a few people, that’s what she always does."
Meanwhile, Danniella recently revealed Ross Kemp, who played her other brother Grant on the show, helped to save her life on the set of ‘EastEnders’.
Danniella admitted she collapsed on the set of the show at the height of her cocaine addiction, and her co-star insisted she received medical help before they restarted filming.
Danniella – who has also starred on ‘Hollyoaks’ – explained: "I passed out from the top of the stairs at the Queen Vic and just collapsed all the way down and Ross caught me.
"The producer went, ‘Pick her up and make her work – we need to get this in the bag’.
"Ross looked into the camera and went, ‘Get her a doctor – this kid is dying. I’m standing down.’"
Danniella also received support from Barbara Windsor, who played her on-screen mum Peggy Mitchell, and the rest of the ‘EastEnders’ crew.
She recalled: "Barbara Windsor went, ‘I’m standing down’. And the crew went, ‘We’re standing down’. And they called me an ambulance."
