Danielle Harold wants to return to ‘EastEnders’.
The 25-year-old actress bowed out of the long-running soap as teenage mother Lola Pearce – a role she portrayed for four years – in 2015, but she has admitted she’d jump at the chance to go back if they gave her a storyline with Perry Fenwick, who plays her grandfather Billy Mitchell, and she thinks now is the perfect time.
Speaking to OK! Online, she said: "Do you know what, Billy needs Lola right now. I think he could do with some support, you know! You never say never to ‘EastEnders’. I’d definitely go back if they wrote me into a storyline with Billy, especially when it is your home and you love it so much, do you know what I mean?"
This isn’t the first time the blonde beauty has expressed her desire to return to the soap as she said back in 2016 that she really loved working with the cast.
She said: "It was a brilliant place to work. But I’m really enjoying doing other stuff."
Former executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins was also keen for her to reprise her role in the future but he’s unfortunately since left the programme.
He said at the time: "We all love Danielle and she and Lola have been a big part of ‘EastEnders’ over the past four years. Danielle is a fantastic actress and I genuinely look forward to seeing her shine in future roles away from Square."
