Daniel Radcliffe: James Franco is f*****g amazing at magic tricks

Daniel Radcliffe says Dave Franco is "f*****g amazing" at performing card tricks.
The 26-year-old actor, who is most famed for playing the titular boy wizard in the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, stars in ‘Now You See Me 2’ with the 31-year-old heartthrob and was shocked Franco was a far better illusionist than he was despite his schooling in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
He said: "We are on set with amazing magicians I learnt a couple of bits. I can do a bit of card throwing. I am nowhere near as good as Dave Franco. Dave is genuinely f*****g amazing. But the trick you see me screwing up in the trailer, I can actually do really well."
Radcliffe became addicted to the casino card game baccarat when they filmed in Macau, China, but still couldn’t beat co-star Jesse Eisenberg, who became a supreme player that he thinks was able to predict the next hand in the set.
He added to Total Film magazine: "The game over there is baccarat. That is what everyone plays and God, did I get into baccarat. The other person who really surprised me with how into it they got was Jesse Eisenberg. I don’t know if I am imagining this but Jesse had some sort of card counting method. I did all right. It could definitely have been worse."
Meanwhile, the actor says he "modeled" himself in his career on Sir Michael Caine and admitted that long before he had ever met the legendary actor, he tried to emulate him.
He said: "On my first Harry Potter film I was working with friends of Michaels who told me stories about him, they said he walked onto the set and by the end of that day he learned everyone’s name. I tried to do that as best I can as well. It’s about being really effortless, no ego, I think way before I ever met him, I had modeled myself on him a little bit."
And when Radcliffe finally got to work with 83-year-old Caine – whose acting credits include ‘Zulu’, ‘Alfie’, ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘Inception’ – he was amazed by his talent and by him as a person.
Discussing what it was like working with Caine on set, Radcliffe said: "Jesus, I was in awe the whole time, he could not be more everything you want him to be."
