Dani Dyer’s ex-boyfriend has reportedly asked her not to go on ‘Love Island’.
The 22-year-old daughter of ‘EastEnders’ star Danny Dyer is due to head out to the sunny villa later this year in the hopes of finding love on the ITV2 reality show, but it has now been reported her former beau Sam Strike – who formerly starred in ‘EastEnders’ as Danny’s on-screen son – believes it is the "wrong move" for her.
A source said: "Sam and Dani are really good friends and she runs everything past him. His advice was to not do the show – he feels it’s the wrong move for her.
"Dani and Sam have a special bond and even after things didn’t work out when they were dating, they speak weekly. When Dani was asked to do Love Island last year he advised her against it.
"He has been adamant he doesn’t think she should be going on the programme."
However, despite the warning, the barmaid has packed her suitcase and is still planning on jetting out to into the sun to take part in the show.
The insider added to The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: "She did have a wobble but is going to do the show.
"Sam fears as she is so sweet that the other girls on the show may pick on her.
"She is really just a nice girl."
Sam’s worries come after Dani admitted she won’t be following the trend of getting hot and heavy on camera whilst on the show, as she’s vowed to keep her hands to herself whilst the cameras are rolling.
She said: "I have so many eyes watching me. Kissing? No, I don’t think so. I will just have to resist it, you know what I mean? I’ll just have to do it when I get out.
"If they like me they can wait for a kiss – but if I have a glass of wine or something I could be in trouble because then I get flirty."
