Dani Dyer thought she was "going to die" while climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief.
The ‘Love Island’ winner attempted the trek with eight other celebrities and broke down in tears as she feared for her life during the venture.
On the BBC One special, ‘Kilimanjaro: The Bigger Red Nose Climb’, which was aired on Wednesday (13.03.19), she said: "Oh my god I’m petrified. I’ve never even climbed a climbing frame. Never. I’m scared of slides, I’m scared of everything … I’m really scared though. I’m just freaking out. I can’t get up there. I can’t do it. I’m just so scared. It was at a certain point on the rock when I honestly thought I’m gonna die. It’s a life or death experience."
However, the reality star – who stole the nations hearts when she triumphed on the dating show with Jack Fincham – also confessed her mother would be mad at her if she didn’t complete the climb.
She said: "My mum will go mad at me if I don’t reach the top."
The television star – who is the daughter of ‘EastEnders’ actor Danny Dyer – had previously confessed she "couldn’t believe" she was getting the opportunity to scale the mountain.
She said before the climb: "I can’t believe I’m really climbing Kilimanjaro! Comic Relief means so much to me and my family, and the money they raise does so much good, so I’m thrilled to be involved. It doesn’t feel real yet, but I’m excited to put my backpack on and get going."
