Dancing on Ice’s Jake Quickenden isn’t allowed near his professional partner Vanessa Bauer while she recuperates from a nasty bout of flu ahead of this weekend’s show.
The former ‘X Factor’ star has found himself at the top of the leader board every week since he first took to the ice five weeks ago, but his future on the programme is currently in jeopardy as his skating partner has been struck down with a horrid virus.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "He has been left in the dark wondering how he will skate this weekend without his partner.
"He isn’t sure if she will be well enough to skate on Sunday."
A second source added: "After being at the top of the leaderboard this really has put Jake in a very troubling position. He’s is currently bookies’ favourite, but now he’s basically on an ice ban that could all be over."
The 29-year-old hunk took to his Instagram account yesterday (13.02.18) to express his concern after he was banned from coming into contact with Vanessa for 72 hours.
He wrote: "So we hit a road block at training as Vanessa has got the flu and I can’t come into contact with her for 72 hours. So we have’t got a routine, so I don’t know what I am going to do. Vanessa always comes up with the fire routines and now she is poorly and she has got flu and I dunno… do you reckon I should try and do it. (sic)"
He then took to his Twitter account to wish her a speedy recovery.
He said: "Get better soon @TheVanessaBauer don’t worry about anything just get yourself well and then we can train. (sic)"
It comes just days after it was reported that Kem Cetinay and Alex Beresford – who are both competing on the show – had been struck down with the cold and flu virus.
