Dame Helen Mirren wants to portray Donald Trump in a movie biopic.
The 72-year-old movie legend thinks it would be "so funny" to play the role of the American President in a film based on him and his life, and she thinks she would be great for the position because she believes they have a similar hair style.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Collateral Beauty’ star said: "I’d be so funny as Trump. I love it. I’ve almost got the hair.
"[He’s] a fantastic, sort of slightly Shakespearean character. He may have a Shakespearean fall, I don’t know … He is an extraordinary character."
And Mirren has revealed if a production based on the US leader was to arise, she would like to explore Trump’s upbringing, and his family life in the project.
She said: "You look at the upbringing. You look at the schooling, the father, the mother.
"I don’t know much about Mr Trump’s background, but if I was to play him I would definitely start there. You have to start with the child and the child is very much in Trump."
Mirren has played a string of real-life personalities throughout her career including Queen Elizabeth II in ‘The Queen’.
And the star has revealed she met with the 91-year-old royal shortly after the movie was released in 2006, and acknowledged Mirren as the actress who portrayed her.
Recalling the moment she met Her Majesty, Mirren said: "I met her afterwards, which was rather a loaded moment.
"She never mentioned the film to me personally. She did introduce me to someone as: ‘This is Helen Mirren, she played me in the film.’
"Apart from that she’s never mentioned it."
