Dakota Johnson feels "suffocated" by life sometimes.
The ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ star says there are times when she feels "unsure" about how her life will pan out but knows she is likely to be making movies for a long time because she has such an "obsession" with it.
Speaking to Chrissie Hynde for Interview magazine, she said: "I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. Like, I’m unsure of what my life will be like. I mean, I have such an obsession with making movies that I probably will always do that.
"But sometimes my life can feel so suffocating, and then it can feel so massive, like I don’t have a handle on it at all, and I don’t know where it’s going or what I’m going to do. Right now, I’m known for making movies. And I wonder if that’s it. I don’t know. It doesn’t feel like it to me."
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old actress previously claimed Hollywood is "f***ing brutal" when it comes to an actor’s age.
She said: "Why isn’t my mother [Melanie Griffith, 58] in movies? She’s an extraordinary actress! Why isn’t my grandmother [Tippi Hedren, 86] in movies? This industry is f***ing brutal.
"No matter how tough you are, sometimes there’s the feeling of not being wanted. It’s absurd and cut-throat. Whenever I have downtime, I’m unsure that I will ever work again. I don’t know what it is, but it’s a definite thing that happens to me."
