Daisy Wood-Davis asks Rick Astley for Hollyoaks cameo

Daisy Wood-Davis has sent Rick Astley "several tweets" to try to convince the singer to make a cameo in ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 27-year-old actor’s alter-ego Kim Butterfield has recently been seeking solace speaking to a poster of the singing legend, after she was kidnapped by Ryan Knight (Duncan James) and locked up in the school with nothing but an image of the ‘Never Going to Give You Up’ hitmaker and numerous cans of beans to keep her sane.
And Daisy is keen for Rick to feature in the show as a "figment of Kim’s imagination".
She explained: "I’ve tweeted him several times, but he hasn’t replied.
"I was hoping he’d make a cameo in the show – it would be great to have him as a figment of Kim’s imagination."
While Daisy loved the idea of Kim chatting away to Rick’s poster, she found it "quite difficult" to act out.
She said: "I thought it was brilliant! It brought a bit of amusement to the scenes, but also some depth – Kim was at her lowest point, and we all need someone to talk to.
"It’s quite difficult to have a conversation with a piece of paper, though."
Daisy’s boyfriend Luke Jerdy also stars in ‘Hollyoaks’ as Jesse Donovan, but she feels "quite nervous" when she appears in scenes alongside him.
She added to Inside Soap magazine: "It’s nice to keep things separate – it’s good to get home and have stuff to talk about with each other.
"I get quite nervous when I work with Luke – I’m not used to being professional around him."
