Daisy Ridley had doubts she could star in Murder on the Orient Express

Daisy Ridley didn’t think she was good enough to get a part in ‘Murder on the Orient Express’.
The 25-year-old actress stars as Mary Debenham in the new movie adaptation of Agatha Christie’s murder mystery novel of the same name, but Ridley admitted she didn’t ever think she would land the role because she wasn’t sure she had the experience or talent for her role.
Speaking at the world premiere of the movie at The Royal Albert Hall, in London on Thursday (02.11.17), Ridley said: "It was amazing and what was more amazing was that everyone was absolutely lovely. I did feel really part of something. There were points I was like, ‘There’s no way I was going to get this job, I’m not good enough yardy yardy ya.’
"And then when you get to a point where everyone’s made you feel so welcome it’s just unbeatable."
Ridley stars in the new movie which sees Belgian detective Hercule Poirot – played by Sir Kenneth Branagh who also directed the film – who interrogates passengers on the European lavish train trip after one traveller is stabbed to death.
The movie features an all-star cast which includes Johnny Depp, Willem Dafoe, Michelle Pfeiffer, Derek Jacobi, Penelope Cruz and Josh Gad.
During the premiere, Dench, 87, revealed the shoot felt she like she was working in a "theatre company" due to the fantastic ensemble of acting talent.
Dench said: "It was like a theatre company. A lot of us knew each other. We have worked together before. Then you get Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Josh Gad and Willem Dafoe, really lovely, proper actors."
