Daisy Ridley is in talks to work alongside J.J. Abrams in ‘Kolma’.
The London born actress rose to fame last year as heroine Rey in the hit science fiction blockbuster ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ helmed by the 49-year-old director and the pair could team up once more for the upcoming fantasy thriller.
J.J. Abrams is producing the movie for Paramount Pictures and Marielle Heller – whose other credits include ‘The Diary of a Teenage Girl’ – is attached to direct.
If Daisy, 24, takes the part, she will play one half of a young couple who are in a car crash that results in the boyfriend’s death.
When she also dies as an older woman decades later, she is given the choice of returning to the day of the accident to live her life over again or being reunited with her long-lost love.
The project has been in the pipeline for a decade and is based on Keren Margalit’s 2003 Israeli movie of the week titled ‘All I’ve Got’.
Elsewhere, Daisy is currently working on ‘Episode VIII’ in the ‘Star Wars’ saga and has not officially been signed to any further projects.
