Curtis Pritchard has joined ‘The Greatest Dancer’.
The ‘Love Island’ star – whose brother AJ is a pro on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – will be welcoming contestants to the studio as they get ready for their audition for the BBC One competition.
Speaking on BBC Radio 1’s ‘Scott Mills Show’, he said: "To have left the Love Island villa just 10 days ago and to be so quickly given an opportunity to be a part of a show as amazing as ‘The Greatest Dancer’ is a dream come true!
"When I got the call I was so honoured to even be considered for this so the fact it’s happening I can’t quite believe!
"Dance is my passion and I can’t wait to meet all the contestants in the new revamped reception area."
Curtis, 23, is a professional dancer is own right, having performed in stage shows like ‘Priscilla Queen of the Desert’, ‘Burn The Floor’ and ‘Rip It Up’, and he also appeared on three series of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ in Ireland.
Opening up about his role in a video posted by the Beeb, Curtis revealed his excitement over joining the programme ahead of its 2020 return.
In the Twitter clip, he added: "I’m going to be taking over the reception, getting to introduce myself to all of the contestants.
"Dance is one of my passions, so I want to find out more about everybody else’s dance style. And basically, tune in early next year, BBC One. I want to see all of you watching for the best gossip and best dance moves."
Curtis rose to fame on the most recent series of ‘Love Island’ and finished fourth on the ITV2 dating series alongside 28-year-old ring girl Maura Higgins.
Earlier this week, she insisted the couple are "very happy" and she is looking forward to taking their romance "slow" and finally going on their first proper first date outside of the villa.
She said: "We’re very happy and we’re taking things slow. He makes me happy, I make him happy.
"In the villa, it’s very different and now we’re out of the villa we want to take things slow and go on dates, we’ve not had out first official date outside the villa yet.
"We just want to do normal things. I’m very happy. I’m not in love yet but I definitely am getting the feels."
