Curtis Pritchard has been giving Maura Higgins dance lessons to help with her ‘Dancing on Ice’ training.
The professional dancer has stepped in to help out his significant other ahead of her debut on the ice skating programme later this month, and he hopes his assistance will "really help" her on the show.
He said: "I’ve done a bit of dancing with her. Just normal ballroom and Latin dancing, and she’s a great follower.
"She holds her body perfectly. Her arms connected to her body, connected to her legs, it all works in one.
"So I think that’s really going to help on the ice."
Curtis admits Maura "wasn’t the best" on the ice when she started rehearsing for the ITV show, but she has made a "massive improvement".
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, he added: "She’s doing incredibly. She just got back from Ireland, and she’s training today.
"She’s excited to get back on the ice.
"From her first day to now there has been a massive improvement.
"She’s never ice skated before. I watched her on the first day and I’m not going to lie, she wasn’t the best."
In November, Maura admitted her ‘Dancing On Ice’ training had been "tough".
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It’s tough but I’m loving it, absolutely loving it.
"I never expected to enjoy it, as much as I am enjoying it. The whole team are incredible. I get on with absolutely everyone, we have a laugh.
"I met my pro skater, he’s lovely, he’s a great dancer and such a good teacher and I’m very lucky."
