Curtis Pritchard isn’t affected by "’negative comments" about his weight when he’s "truly happy" within himself "mentally and physically".
The 23-year-old dancer recently signed up to become an ambassador for weight loss programme WW and opened up about the "fat-shaming" he faced after he put on around two stone during his time on the ITV2 dating show.
And now he has admitted that he doesn’t really "read anything" posted about him online since he’s been in the villa and even if he was to see a nasty comment posted by a troll, when he’s confident with his appearance, nothing can bring him down.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "Since leaving the villa I don’t really read anything. If you are truly happy in yourself any negative comments that come in, you won’t be affected by them because you are truly happy within you, mentally, physically and how you look."
The ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’ coach – who is dating fellow Islander Maura Higgins – also revealed that having McDonald’s delivered in happened "once in a blue moon" and they didn’t get Saturdays off.
He said: "We didn’t have McDonald’s delivered in.
"Everyone picked up on these things that happened once in a blue moon. The day off on Saturday wasn’t a day off on Saturday.
"Yes, there are certain times when we have to do things that aren’t caught on camera, so it’s a chilled out period. It doesn’t happen all the time."
On why he decided to sign up to WW, Curtis said recently: "WW is something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve always had my weight on show as a dancer and now coming into the villa, and being even more in the public eye, I got a bit of fat-shaming.
"We’re in 2019, that shouldn’t be happening these days. It upset me and played on my mind."
Curtis will document his experience on the WW programme through his social channels, while travelling, when he’s working and during everyday life at home. To stay connected to his journey on WW, follow him on Instagram and Twitter.
