‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses are said to have warned Craig Revel Horwood that his recent rant was "totally out of order".
The 53-year-old show judge allegedly described Tess Daly’s contestant interviews as "dull" and claimed fellow panellist Shirley Ballas’ breasts are "fake" last week – and producers are said to have warned him to watch his acid tongue after causing some backstage upset.
A show insider said: "Craig has rubbed everybody up the wrong way with his comments including senior people on the production team and his fellow judges.
"The comments were totally out of order and that has been made clear to Craig."
Shirley, 58, is said to have been left "particularly upset" by Craig’s comments, and believes his claims were "very unfair".
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "Shirley was particularly upset by his comments which were personal.
"She felt him making comments like that so publicly was just malicious and very unfair, and she isn’t really talking to him."
Craig, who was on the first night of his book tour in Oxford, when he made the comments, admitted he "tends to avoid" answering Tess’ "quite dull" questions.
He said: "The book is honest like me but on the telly I wear my judge’s hat. I can’t be myself.
"I like to joke about and do all that stuff. I might raise an eyebrow or two.
"In those ten or 20 seconds where I have to answer Tess’s quite dull questions actually … I tend to avoid them and not answer if I’m super honest."
Last week, the outspoken judge also blasted pro dancer Katya Jones for kissing contestant Seann Walsh despite her being married and him having a girlfriend, Rebecca Humphries, who dumped the comedian after the smooch was exposed.
Craig said: "Katya was in the wrong. I think she should have went: ‘No, no, no. I’m your teacher.’
"Obviously Some relationships blossom. I mean who would have ever thought that anyone would want Kristina Rihanoff? But Ben Cohen did and she had a baby with him so that’s a success story.
"I call it the ‘Strictly’ blessing as if you are there in that sort of parallel world and you are your own person with your own thoughts and intentions that is what is wonderful."
