Courtney Stodden is set to take part in ‘Celebs Go Dating’.
The 22-year-old reality TV star has been approached by bosses of the E4 dating show to find love with someone her own age after she split from husband Doug Hutchison, 57, earlier this year.
A source told The Sun newspaper, she said: "Courtney wants to do the dating thing properly and meet some men nearer her own age. She was in a marriage with a much older man for years and now she’s free she wants to date someone closer to her own age who has more similar interests, like partying and going to the beach."
The blonde beauty will join the series alongside ‘TOWIE’s Bobby Norris – who is the first gay contestant to take part in the programme – and the show is expected to hit screens later this year.
Although she’s keen to find love with someone else, Courtney – who is also on dating sites – is desperate to keep an amiable relationship with her ex-beau because she still cares for him.
She said recently: "A split is really hard. Doug and I are on really good terms but it’s just hard, you know, because we’re trying to hang on to our friendship because we are best friends and we don’t want to part in a disastrous Hollywood way."
Despite their decision to call it quits, the pair – who got married when Courtney was 16 years old – still speak to each other "every day" because of their businesses.
She explained: "I want us to remain in each other’s lives as friends and business partners and I just don’t want to lose him altogether. We’re talking a lot about business throughout the day. It’s sensitive to talk about our own issues right now, so I think we’re kind of just talking mostly about business and then when we do talk about what we’re going through, it’s just really hard on us."
