Courtney Love says her addictions are "the size of the Incredible Hulk"
The Hole singer has previously battled drug addiction and even though she has been sober for almost ten years, is constantly aware of how bad things could be if she relapsed, comparing her addictions to the huge, powerful green comic book character.
She said: "I’ve been clean and sober since 2005. Those of us that are addicts, you know, it’s like, I do all this spiritual hygiene, I chant and do yoga and stuff like that, but out in the parking lot, there is my addiction doing sit-ups the size of the Incredible Hulk.
"And any time I let that in, that could be me or any one of my friends."
Courtney, 49, was also saddened by the recent death of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman from an apparent heroin overdose.
She told to AccessHollywood.com: "I just cried and cried. One of my best friends is his best friend and I really liked him … I mean, it’s just so bad."
Courtney also said she’s been repairing her shaky relationship with Frances, her daughter with late rocker Kurt Cobain, who was also a heroin addict at the time of his death in 1994.
Asked about how things are with the 21-year-old, she said: "It’s fantastic. It’s one of the reasons that I’m moving back here [to Los Angeles], so I’m close to her. She’s in a really good space."
She also blamed their past fallouts on Frances’ legal team, adding: "She has a trust fund, trust funds attract lawyers, and lawyers attract problems and that’s just reality."
