Courtney Act wants to see Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall guest judge on the UK version of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’.
The reality TV show will arrive in the UK later this year in a new eight-part series on BBC Three, which will feature a host of British aspiring drag artists, and the 36-year-old drag star has revealed her top picks for the judging panel.
The ‘Bi-Life’ host is keen to see the 26-year-old singer – who is a huge fan of the US version of the show, and even had a drag-themed party for her 25th birthday – on the show, as well as any member of the British pop band the Spice Girls, who are made up of Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Victoria Beckham.
In an exclusive interview with BANG Showbiz, she said: "Obviously Jade from Little Mix cos she is ‘Drag Race’-obsessed and she’s adorable and lovely. I mean a Spice Girl. I mean Geri is my favourite so she would be my first choice but any Spice Girl I think."
The TV personality thinks Paul O’Grady, Julian Clary and Eddie Izzard would be good value on the panel, and added that Boy George would be an ideal candidate due to his experience judging on ‘The Voice Australia’.
She said: "Paul O’Grady knows a thing or two about drag, Julian Clary, Eddie Izzard there’s many.
"Boy George would be brilliant, he’s a judge on ‘The Voice Australia’. He knows a thing or two about judging and he knows a thing or two about queerness and drag. They’d be my picks."
Courtney’s new single ‘Fight For Love’ is available to purchase now on iTunes and stream on Spotify. Courtney will compete with ‘Fight For Love’ on SBS’ ‘Eurovision – Australia Decides’ on Saturday February 9, 2019.
