Courteney Cox regrets undergoing cosmetic procedures because she looked "horrible".
The 52-year-old actress – who is engaged to 40-year-old musician Johnny McDaid – has vowed not to try and change her looks or halt the aging process any more and is grateful that the things she tried were not permanent.
She said: "Getting older is not the easiest thing. But I have learned lessons.
"I was trying to keep up with getting older and trying to chase that. It’s something you can’t keep up with. The more you relax with it and the less you try…
"Sometimes you find yourself trying and then you look at a picture of yourself and you go, "Oh god, I look horrible."
"I have done things that I regret and luckily there are things that dissolve and go away. So that’s good because it’s not always been my best look.
"Now I have a new motto, let it be."
But there are some aspects the former ‘Friends’ star enjoys about getting older, such as raising her and ex-husband David Arquette’s 12-year-old daughter Coco.
She said: "Certain parts about getting older are fantastic, watching my daughter go through the game of life.
"She’s just turned 12 and I see so much of myself in her. I’m glad that I’ve been through it and learned enough now to help her go through things that are hard."
And Courteney insisted that she doesn’t feel uncomfortable being famous, despite the occasional "mean" comment.
Speaking in a new clip from her upcoming appearance on ‘Running Wild With Bear Grylls’, she told the survival expert: "I don’t feel burdened by it but people can be mean on social media."
Bear previously admitted he thinks Courteney is suffering from "post-traumatic stress" from her stint in the wild with him, especially over their unappealing meals.
He said:"She had tears pouring down her cheeks and I said, ‘Welcome to Ireland, this is what it’s like.’ She emailed me since and I think she’s got a bit of post-traumatic stress going on.
"I found this rotting sheep carcass and I thought, ‘Oh, good, I can give her some lamb’. I stuck the knife in and maggots exploded out. The blood drained from her face."
The ‘Cougar Town’ actress also admitted she would have preferred to eat grass rather than bugs.
In a video promoting the television series, he told her: "We’ll eat birds if you can catch them, worms, bugs, grubs, insects, flies, crickets, caterpillars."
To which Courteney replied: "I would rather eat grass than any of the things you just named."
