Corrie’s Sally Dynevor doesn’t like watching herself on TV

Sally Dynevor doesn’t like watching herself on TV.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress has played Sally Metcalfe on the ITV soap since 1986, and admitted she’s "not keen" to see how she’s aged after first stepping foot on the cobbles when she was 23.
Sally, who is now 55, told BANG Showbiz: "I was 23 when I started, so to watch yourself getting older …
"But all the different range of characters that have come and gone from ‘Corrie’. Jean Alexander was one of my first scenes on Corrie and it’s changed so much, but it’s changed with the times.
"It’s got more modern and we’ve got a wonderful cast at the moment. We’ve got a mixture of older and younger and it all works really, really well."
‘Corrie’ is set to undergo another overhaul with incoming boss Iain MacLeod replacing former producer Kate Oates, who is to take the reins at rival BBC One soap ‘EastEnders’.
While many of the cast could be forgiven for being "apprehensive" about a change in regime, Sally is excited for the future.
She added: "Everyone is usually apprehensive when a new producer comes in. They have who they might like and dislike. I’m looking forward to Iain starting."
Earlier this year, the actress discussed the changes and admitted she was "sad" to see Kate leave.
She said at the time: "We’ve got a new boss. It’s always very sad to see somebody go. Kate Oates has done very well on the show. We wish her the best."
