Corrie’s Eileen and Nicola moving to Bristol

Coronation Street’s Eileen Grimshaw and Nicola Rubinstein are to move to Bristol.
The pair will swap the Weatherfield cobbles for the south west of England after the year from hell, which has seen Eileen’s (Sue Cleaver) serial killer husband Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) wreak havoc in their lives, including shooting his daughter Nicola (Nicola Thorp) last week.
In ‘Corrie’ scenes set to air next week, Nicola tells Gary Windass (Mikey North), the father of her newborn baby Zack, that she’s upping sticks for Somerset, much to his devastation.
She asks Eileen if she wants to go with her and the taxi switchboard worker agrees after sharing a bottle of wine with Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) – whose ex is mass murderer John Stape (Graeme Hawley) – during which they compare their serial killer ex husbands.
Eileen’s cabbie colleagues Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) throw her a leaving party in the taxi office before she heads off for the bright lights of Bristol.
She decides to rent out her house but allows Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) to stay while she searches for a tenant.
However, as soon as Eileen’s back is turned Seb’s mum Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) invites herself over to Number 11.
With a plan in mind, she pretends to be Eileen when the estate agent calls round to discuss the rental and Abi tells him the house is no longer up for lease.
Phelan’s reign of terror finally came to an end last week when he was stabbed to death by Anna Windass (Debbie Rush), who he had previously framed for pushing Seb off a ladder, resulting in her being sent to prison for GBH.
Eileen thought Phelan was dead in March when he revealed to her that he was a serial killer before falling down a harbour wall apparently to his death, only to reappear alive days later.
