Coronation Street’s Bethany Platt to lose job at strip club

Coronation Street’s Bethany Platt is set to lose her job at the strip club after she glasses someone.
The troubled teen – played by Lucy Fallon – hasn’t had much luck over the past year or so as she fell victim to a grooming plot, but her world is set to crumble even more over the next coming weeks as she will be sacked from Tassels – the lap dancing club – after she lunges at someone with a bottle.
A source told The Sun Online: "Bethany’s lap dancing career is set to come to an end when the strip club, Tassels, she works in gets closed down. Dramatic scenes will see her glass somebody in a shocking move that will cost her the job."
Bethany took up the provocative job in a bid to reassert her authority over men after she was sexually abused by Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) and sold to a group of his friends for sex.
However, her mother Sarah Platt’s (Tina O’Brien) ex-boyfriend Gary Windass (Mikey North) clocks on to her secret career choice after he follows her to the venue and sees her prances around.
But Bethany – who is keen to keep Gary away from her mum after he cheated on her with Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorp), pretends she has never seen Gary before and gets him chucked out.
Mikey said: "He is shocked, he is not expecting to see her there and the last thing he expects is to see her dancing! It’s a big surprise when he walks in and sees her scantily clad.
"Gary tries to get Bethany to come home but she doesn’t like that and wants to stay. Bethany calls the bouncer to step in and he does so in a quite forceful way. Gary tries to resist a little bit which doesn’t help… the bouncer goes to town on him. He is really smashed up, he is badly, badly beaten up. It’s the last thing that he needs with everything else going on."
