Coronation Street’s Pat Phelan risks death when he loses consciousness in unset concrete while trying to hide the dead bodies of Andy Carver and Vinny Ashford.
The evil killer – played by Connor McIntyre – could be set for his comeuppance in next week’s ‘Corrie’ when scaffolding piles on top of him at The Mill site, leaving him stuck in rising concrete and facing his maker.
Phelan is shocked to find the lake at The Mill being pumped and one of the bodies emerging from the water, so he wades into the water in a desperate attempt to cover his tracks.
He manages to pull both Andy (Oliver Farnworth) and Vinny’s (Ian Kelsey) bodies out of the lake and puts them in the foundations of The Mill before switching the concrete on to hide them once and for all.
But disaster strikes when his wife Eileen Phelan (Sue Cleaver) rings him to find out why he’s not at his Getting To Know Pat party, but his mobile’s vibrations lead to the device falling into the concrete, and Phelan himself tumbles in while trying to retrieve his gadget.
To make matters worse, the terrible weather conditions hit The Mill scaffolding hard and it falls on him, and he becomes trapped.
In the meantime, Eileen is worried about her hubby and takes Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) up on his offer of a lift to The Mill to see where her beloved has got to.
Following the incident, Tim will discover Phelan’s involvement in the Calcutta Street flat development scam, which saw him and Vinny rip off residents, and he tells Eileen what happened.
But Eileen is clearly still under Phelan’s spell as she tells Tim to keep shtum about her horrible hubby’s antics – but will Tim be up for keeping the Weatherfield residents in the dark about what his nemesis really like?
