Corey Stoll is in talks to join Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’.
The ‘House of Cards’ actor – who played Peter Russo in the first series of the political revenge drama – is negotiating a deal to join the superhero movie in an unspecified role, reports Variety.
His film work includes ‘Midnight in Paris’, ‘The Bourne Legacy’, and most recently, a key role in action thriller ‘Non-Stop’, which starred Liam Neeson.
‘Ant-Man’ will star Paul Rudd in the lead role of Scott Lang, the new incarnation of Ant-Man, while Michael Douglas has been cast as Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man who developed the technology that affords the hero – who can shrink down to insect size – his powers.
Michael Pena, Patrick Wilson and ‘Lost’ actress Evangeline Lilly are all in talks to join the film also, with production due to begin in April.
‘Ant-Man’ will be directed by Edgar Wright, who co-wrote the script with Joe Cornish.
The blockbuster is set to hit cinemas in July 2015, just a few months after Marvel’s blockbuster sequel to ‘The Avengers’.
