Colin Thackery has set his sights on an appearance on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’.
The 89-year-old war veteran wowed the nation with his singing voice when he took home the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ crown earlier this year and now Colin wants a spot on the sofa at ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ as it is on his bucket list of things to do.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "Jonathan is a national treasure and I would absolutely love to be a guest on his show."
Colin has planned a host of events to tick off his bucket list including performing before the Queen, which he managed to tick off earlier this year when he performed at the 2019 Royal Variety Performance.
He admitted at the time that he could "die happy" after ticking off his performance because he’s such a big fan of the monarch.
He said: "I served her for 25 years. She’s the tops. She’s unwavering, she acts very well and she doesn’t try to be trendy. When she was young, everybody fell in love with her."
He has also signed a record deal worth a five-figure sum in a joint venture with Decca and Simon Cowell’s Syco.
The Chelsea Pensioner became the oldest artist to sign a record deal, and his debut album ‘Love Changes Everything’ is set to release next month (06.12.19).
Colin has also expressed an interest to perform at Glastonbury festival but doesn’t think he’s the typical sort of artist who would play at the world-famous music event.
Asked if he’s interested in performing at Glastonbury, he said: "You mean where all the pop singers go? I don’t sing pop music, my friend. International stars can go and sing anywhere they want. I just do as I’m told [but] of course it’s not a no."
