Coleen Nolan given dating advice by her son

Coleen Nolan’s son has implored her not to date anyone younger than himself.
The 52-year-old TV star recently announced her split from husband Ray Fensome, and she’s revealed that her 29-year-old son Shane – who she has with her first husband, actor Shane Richie – has been offering her dating advice.
During a discussion about whether the mothers on the ‘Loose Women’ panel interfere in their children’s love lives, Coleen – who also has son Jake, 25, and daughter Ciara, 16 – shared: "I think they’ll be a nightmare, there’s already a few rules in place.
"Shane is 30 this year and he went, ‘Mum it would be so lovely if you meet someone else but please don’t date anyone younger than me.’"
Nolan recently revealed that her marriage break-up was triggered by her sister’s battle with breast cancer.
The former pop star explained that she was spurred to re-evaluate her life after her sibling Linda Nolan was diagnosed with an incurable version of the disease four years after their other sister, Bernie Nolan, died of cancer.
Explaining the reasons for her split from Ray, she recently said: "Some of it was, when Bernie passed away and then Linda, all of those things put things into perspective and make you readdress if you’re happy and your life’s happy, but hopefully we can now go forward, both of us, and be positive and be great parents."
Despite her heartbreak, Coleen is already looking forward to a "new chapter" in her life.
Fighting back tears on ‘Loose Women’, she shared: "I’m trying to see it now, it is really sad – I don’t want to cry – but it just happens and instead of sitting here, or staying with someone because I’m scared of being on my own – do I want to be on my own at 53? – I’ve turned it around and gone, ‘It’s a new chapter, and that’s exciting in itself.’"
