Cold Feet won’t return until 2019

James Nesbitt has revealed ‘Cold Feet’ won’t be back until 2019.
The 53-year-old star has confirmed the comedy drama won’t be back on the small screen later this year as expected, but did let fans know that filming has finished for the eighth series.
Although when the upcoming run of episodes – the third since the show’s revival in 2016 after 13 years off the air – was slated for autumn, James told ‘This Morning’: "We’ve just finished series 8, very excited, and that will be coming along next year."
The actor also suggested the popular show could run for another two seasons, and admitted he’d love to revisit the characters further down the line for another revival.
He added: "Hopefully we’ll do it for another year or two. The idea would be great to bring it back when we’re all 70. It’ll be good to see what happens at that age."
Polly Hill, ITV’s head of drama, previously confirmed six new episodes of the Manchester-based show, with James joined by cast mates Hermione Norris, Robert Bathurst, Fay Ripley and John Thomson.
Writer and creator Mike Bullen said: "I’m delighted that viewers still feel invested in the lives and loves of our imperfect heroes. And I’m excited that we’re being given the opportunity to tell the next chapter of their stories.
"We’ve got plenty of trials and tribulations in store for them as they navigate their way through middle age, and more than a few laughs and tears along the way."
