Cliff Parisi fears Call The Midwife axe after jungle weight loss

Cliff Parisi is worried he could be sacked from ‘Call The Midwife’ because of his weight loss.
The 59-year-old actor – who plays mechanic Fred Buckle on the BBC drama – has shed almost two stone after spending two weeks in the jungle for ITV’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, and he admitted he wants to keep up his diet since leaving camp on Monday (02.12.19).
He told The Sun newspaper: "I went in there to go on a diet.
"I am planning to stick with the diet and lose a bit more weight. I don’t know what my employers are going to think about that.
"I’m sure they don’t want me to lose too much because I’ve been in the series for 10 years and I’m the big, fat useless mechanic."
Cliff – who also appeared as Minty Pearson in ‘EastEnders’ – was voted off the show this week, and revealed the stars all plan to stay in touch and even get matching tattoos as a reminder of their time in Australia.
He said: "We’re setting up a WhatsApp group so we’re all going to see each other, we’re talking about getting a tattoo…
"We don’t know [what or where], we haven’t decided yet. We’re going to start deciding between us. It might be just the rear end of a possum."
Cliff admitted he lost a stone and a half" because of the diet on the programme.
He laughed: "I’ve lost a stone and a half, because it’s the beans. I’m never going to have another bean in my life. It’s torture – I’ve had a lovely time though."
