Cindy Crawford is "supportive" of her daughter Kaia Gerber’s rumoured romance with Pete Davidson.
Kaia, 18, is speculated to have started a relationship with the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star, and although neither of the pair have confirmed the rumours, it has now been claimed Pete has the approval of Kaia’s mother Cindy.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "Cindy’s supportive of Kaia and wants her to be happy. Right now she’s happy with Pete Davidson, so Cindy’s trying not to get involved. Kaia’s young, so Cindy’s encouraging her to stay focused on her future. Kaia trusts her mom completely and looks to her as a role model."
Kaia was first linked to 26-year-old Pete – who was previously engaged to Ariana Grande, and has dated Kate Beckinsale and Margaret Qualley in the past – back in October, and sources said they were trying to keep a "low-profile".
An insider claimed: "Pete and Kaia are dating and they’ve been trying to keep their relationship somewhat low-profile."
By contrast, another insider previously claimed that Pete had nothing "outwardly romantic going on" with Kaia, whose father is Rande Gerber.
Earlier this month, the pair met up for dinner at Nobu in Malibu, California, but sources insisted the date was "casual" and seemed to be platonic, with the pair seeming "friendly" rather than romantically involved.
The eyewitness shared at the time: "They had a casual two-hour dinner at Nobu on Monday night. It seemed friendly and there wasn’t anything outwardly romantic going on. They sat across from each other and talked throughout their dinner.
"Pete walked out first and Kaia was behind him. They left in the same car with Pete driving. They looked at each other in the car and started laughing as they drove off.
"They are spending time together and having fun. They are just friends who like being together and making each other laugh."
