Christopher Quinten has got engaged.
The 61-year-old former ‘Coronation Street’ actor has popped the question to his girlfriend Robyn Delabarre – who previously dated late ‘Love Island’ star Mike Thalassitis – on her 21st birthday after seven months together.
Robyn wrote: "My husband to be ! It’s been a CRAZY 7 months a secret we had to keep because of our jobs but you have made me the happiest girl alive your amazing to me I’m so lucky to have you in my life I’m so glad your mine I love you and I couldn’t care less what Anyone has to say I love you will all my heart thankyou for doing everything you do For me Chris (sic)."
She shared a video of the proposal on Facebook, and wrote: "My 21st birthday a night I will never forget my wow (sic)"
The happy couple recently went on a trip to Mykonos, and had an "amazing time".
She shared: "I have been so spoilt this holiday what an amazing time we have had and the memories we have made together I will cherish this forever.
"Thankyou so much Chris for throwing me a surprise 21st birthday and my presents and my amazing holiday you truly are the best.
"4 more weeks and we will be back on your surprise holiday for your birthday my treat to you this time you deserve it. (sic)"
Christopher – who played Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) mechanic husband Brian Tilsley, the father of Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) – departed Weatherfield in 1989 when his cobbles character was killed off.
He went on to become manager of gentleman’s club Secrets.
