Christina Grimmie’s funeral will take place in New Jersey later this week.
The former ‘Voice’ contestant – who was shot and killed during a meet-and-greet session after a show in Orlando, Florida, on Friday (10.06.16) – will be laid to rest in a private service in her home state.
A source told People magazine: "It’s just going to be a small, intimate gathering for her family and close friends."
On Monday (13.06.16), hundreds of mourners gathered for a candlelit vigil in Christina’s hometown, Evesham Township.
Her brother Marcus said: "She loved this town, she loved this state, she loved singing, she loved the Lord and she loved me and she was my baby sister."
Adam Levine, who coached Christina on the sixth season of ‘The Voice’ in 2014, previously offered to pay for the singer’s funeral.
Marcus wrote on Facebook: "I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for her funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away."
Adam previously spoke of the sadness he and his wife have both felt since news of Christina’s death filtered through to them.
He said: "Behati [Prinsloo] and I are absolutely devastated and heartbroken by Christina Grimmie’s tragic death.
"Our hearts go out to her family. Christina was a natural, a gifted talent that comes along so rarely. She was taken from us too soon. This is yet another senseless act of extreme violence. I am left stunned and confused how these things can conceivably continue to happen in our world."
Police have identified Christina’s killer as Kevin James Loibl from St. Petersburg, Florida, who they believe travelled to the gig in Orlando with the intention of killing the 22-year-old singer.
