Chris Ramsey says his wife will be "down [his] throat" when he makes a wrong move on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 33-year-old comedian is a contestant on this year’s series of the BBC’s Latin and Ballroom show, and he has admitted he’s more concerned about his spouse Rosie’s feedback than the ‘Strictly’ curse.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I am going to be judged on the night by the judges and then I am going to come home and she will be down my throat about something I have knacked up."
Chris was asked about the supposed curse – which last series was blamed for the kissing scandal involving comedian Seann Walsh and his professional dance partner Katya Jones – at the launch of the show and he quipped that not putting their podcast "on the line" is more important.
He said: "The question I got most was, ‘Are you worried about the curse?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know if you are aware but I’ve been married five years, I’ve got a child.
"’But more importantly, me and my wife have got one of the top podcasts in the UK – do you think I’m gonna put that on the line?’"
Meanwhile, the British funnyman recently admitted he’s hoping to "get ripped" on the show.
He said: "I’m looking forward to all of it. But especially getting fit. everyone says you get ripped. I’ve never been ripped. Ever. That would be great.
"I’m also looking forward to the spectacle of the whole thing; the live shows, the crowd, the costumes…
"It would be great if the training kicks in and I slim down before they put me in the costumes. I’ll wear whatever you want once I’m ripped!"
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp’ host joked he’s excited to finally have a "full spray tan", and teased he could look like David Schwimmer’s ‘Friends’ character Ross Geller after his memorable mishap on the classic sitcom.
He teased: "I’ve never had a full spray tan before. I’ve just got back from holiday and people are very complimentary when I’ve got a tan.
"I’m looking forward to turning that up to 10. Maybe I’ll do a Ross from ‘Friends.’ "
