Chris Noth’s mother has died.
Jeanne Parr, who hosted her own talk show, ‘The Jeanne Parr Show’ on CBS and was one of the network’s first female correspondents, passed away on Monday (23.05.16) at the age of 92.
Confirming the sad news, Chris told PEOPLE: "My mother lived fiercely with courage and love. She never accepted anything less than her dreams. And she wanted those same qualities for her children. She lived long and died surrounded by those she loved and who loved her."
Jeanne began her career at a local radio and television station in Wisconsin, before being spotted by a CBS producer.
She first worked as a weather girl on the ‘Jim Jensen Show’ and went on to become a full-time news correspondent.
After her chat show ended, she produced a number of documentaries, wrote a book, ‘The Superwives’, about the wives of star athletes and set up her own media company.
Her husband Charles Noth, died in a car accident in 1966 and she is survived by Chris and her other two sons, Charles Jr and Michael Noth.
Chris, 61, found fame as Carrie Bradshaw’s on/off love Mr Big on ‘Sex And The City’ and most recently played the part of Peter Florrick on ‘The Good Wife’.
