Chris Fountain pays tribute to late Hollyoaks cameraman

Chris Fountain has paid tribute to late ‘Hollyoaks’ director of photography Felix Schroer.
The 32-year-old actor – who played Justin Burton on the Channel 4 soap from 2003 to 2009 – has sent love to Felix’s family after the cameraman sadly passed away last week.
He wrote on Twitter: "Incredibly sad to learn of the passing of Felix Schroer, a DOP with whom I worked worked with over my entire Hollyoaks Career, rest in peace big man, sending loads of love to your family and all your friends at line pictures. Rest in Peace. Xxx (sic)"
Bronagh Waugh – who portrayed Cheryl Brady in the soap from 2009 to 2013 – also paid tribute to Felix, and admitted he "taught [her] so much" during her time on the show.
She tweeted: "Utterly heartbreaking news about our kind & utterly lovely @hollyoaks DOP Felix Schroer. Felix was my neighbour on Lark Lane at the beginning of my Hollyoaks journey & I enjoyed our pub sojourns & time on set so much. He taught me so much.
I always shut up & watched him work as (sic)"
Kent Riley – who starred as Zak Ramsey on ‘Oaks’ from 2004 to 2010 – wrote: "Just heard about the tragic passing of the brilliant Felix Schroer a lovely man who worked as a director of photography and cameraman on Hollyoaks for many years. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. good night god bless x (sic)"
Felix’s sister Sylvia took to Twitter this week to confirm he passed away on Friday (20.03.20), and she claimed he thought he had coronavirus, but didn’t have a test done.
She wrote: "I lost my brother on Friday. He had cough/runny nose for 2 months. He was given antibiotics by GP last Monday & self isolated. He died on Friday. It seems he had a massive allergic reaction to the medication but believed he had Covid 19 & no test done (sic)"
Sylvia has been "bowled over" by the love and support she has received following her brother’s death and how much "love, affection and high regard" he was held in.
She tweeted: "The aftercare support wasn’t there & online advice made him believe allergic reaction was side effect of helpful drug – so he carried on. But we cannot speculate as we have not been able to speak to coroner yet.
"RIP Felix Schroer – you were rock solid gold. You were being stoic & strong & believed you were doing the right thing. Please take care @JohnRadoux
"telling ppl to just stay at home alone isn’t always right or giving enough care.
"He is so much missed. I have been bowled over by the wonderful things said about my brother & how much love, affection & high regard he was held in. (sic)"
