Chris Evans’ four-hour Top Gear filming

Chris Evans spends just four hours a day filming ‘Top Gear’.
The 49-year-old TV presenter – who is said to have signed a three-year deal worth £3 million to front the new-look motoring show from May – has revealed he starts shooting scenes for the programme around 10am and leaves at 2pm "on the dot" to pick up his kids.
According to The Sun newspaper, Chris told Top Gear magazine: "I’m useless after 2pm. I’m fried."
The star gets up at 4.45am on weekdays to prepare to host his Radio 2 breakfast show, which airs from 6.30am to 9.30am, and then heads to the BBC studios to begin his ‘Top Gear’ filming duties.
As well as co-hosting the show alongside ‘Friends’ actor Matt LeBlanc, racing driver Sabine Schmitz, YouTube star Chris Harris, Formula 1 pundit Eddie Jordan, motoring journalist Rory Reid and The Stig, Chris will also help produce the programme.
The former ‘TFI Friday’ presenter is said to have been in talks over a "hefty production fee" for his additional commitments.
Last week, ‘Top Gear’ reportedly dropped producer Katie Taylor and replaced her with Clare Pizey following the backlash the motoring show received earlier this month when host Matt performed a series of disrespectful stunts next to the Cenotaph in London.
A source said at the time: "BBC top brass want no more gaffes so have put Pizey on the case with the remit to make the show safe. There was serious doubt it would even make it to air after the Cenotaph outrage."
