Chris Brown has left his Tarzana mansion after an 11 hour standoff with police after a woman accused him of threatening her with a gun.
The 27-year-old ‘Beautiful People’ hitmaker emerged from his Los Angeles residence after police were stationed outside from the early hours of Tuesday morning (30.08.16) following a 911 call.
The singer waved to circling news helicopters, and although he spoke to police the Mirror newspaper reported that it did not appear that any arrests had been made.
However, celebrity news site TMZ alleges that police have retrieved a gun, other weapons and drugs from Chris’s home after he threw a duffle bag out of one of the windows.
During the incident Chris took to social media to profess his innocence and to say he "stays out of the way" to look after his two-year-old daughter Royalty Brown in a series of Instagram video posts.
In one of the video he said: "I stay out of the way look after my daughter. I’m innocent"
He goes on in further videos to claim that the news story is just giving him more publicity, but that he does care about his reputation.
Chris said: "All this news s**t you ain’t doing anything but giving me better publicity.
"What I do care about is your defacing my name and my integrity. I’m a father."
It’s not the first time the singer has had run ins with the police, as he spent six years on probation following an assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna which he pleaded guilty to.
He recently retained joint custody of Royalty with former lover Nia Guzman after she tried to fight for sole custody.
