Chloe Sevigny has experienced some "creepy situations" during castings.
The 41-year-old actress has recalled one "inappropriate" situation when she was propositioned by a director, and another when a filmmaker wanted to take her out clothes shopping for her to try on various garments.
She said: "I did audition for some bigger directors who were more mainstream and they were creepy situations.
"One asked me, ‘What are you doing after the audition?’ which is just inappropriate, obviously knowing what he wanted. Another one wanted to bring me shopping and have me try on clothes."
But the ‘American Psycho’ star insists the "worst" casting occurred when one director urged her to start showing off her body more, even though she has been nude in several films.
Speaking to the Guardian newspaper, she added: "I went in and I was dressed a little provocatively because I was dressing the part.
"He’s like, ‘Oh you should show your body off more before you get too old … you should show it off now, you never show your body.’ I’m like, ‘Actually, I’ve been nude in almost every movie I’ve done so I don’t know what you’re watching!’ "
Last year, the star insisted she "hasn’t really changed" her style the older she has got and still likes to dress as though she is in her 20s.
She said: "I don’t know that I should wear super-high-cut denim shorts any more, but I do! My style hasn’t really changed with age."
When asked what she sees herself wearing when she’s 80 years old, she said: "I see myself with really long, white hair. Hopefully I won’t be as body conscious, and be more kind of flowy, go back to the whole Yves Saint Laurent thing I did when I was younger, but still putting in a bit of effort."
