Cheryl Baker’s pants keep falling down because she’s lost so much weight training for ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The Bucks Fizz singer has been working hard with her professional partner Dan Whiston for the current series of the skating show over the past few months and it seems her gruelling schedule has been paying off as she’s been forced to splash out on a whole new wardrobe because of her shrinking frame.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Dan said: "All Cheryl’s pants are falling down because she’s lost so much weight. Her trousers are falling off too. She’s had to invest in a whole new wardrobe."
And her husband Steve Stroud – with whom she has 23-year-old twin daughters Kyla and Natalie – is loving the 63-year-old singer’s new trim curves.
Dan explained: "Her body shape is changing and that’s really lovely to see. She’s toning her body and her confidence has improved. Her husband loves it. She feels better about herself. Lots of women in their sixties have contacted me for training now after seeing her on the ice."
But, although they’ve got a strong bond, the pair are struggling on the ice because Cheryl is anxious about hurting her spine after she was involved in a coach accident 34 years ago.
Cheryl – who was thrown through the windscreen of the bus while her band Bucks Fizz were on tour – said recently: "I’m terrified of hurting my spine so I shove a back pad down my back. And it does soften the blow but I’m still suffering from my shoulder from that fall [on the ice during training a few weeks ago].
"I’m still having physio all the time and it aches. He does all these lifts and I’m meant to put my arms above my head."
