Cheryl Bake grateful to Dancing on Ice for weight loss

Cheryl Baker is grateful to ‘Dancing on Ice’ for helping her shift the pounds.
The Buzz Fizz singer dropped half a stone during her time on the celebrity ice skating competition – which she made through to week four on – and has admitted her husband and bandmate Steve Stoud loves it now she is more "active" and shapely.
She said: "My legs look different and I’m more supple, I feel so much more confident now.
"I feel happier in the clingy costumes.
"My husband hates it when I put weight on, so he prefers it now I’m active and he likes to see me looking fit."
The 63-year-old star also spilled that the couple’s 26 years of marriage bliss is down to still finding one another "sexy" and "trust".
She told The Sun newspaper: "We laugh and socialise a lot. Trust has to be there. It’s about being affectionate and still finding each other sexy as well as being mates.
"Our life is the same as it was 40 years ago except we’ve got kids now.
"He loves that I’m doing ‘Dancing On Ice’. He’s very protective and doesn’t want me to injure myself, but he’s very proud of me."
Cheryl previously said her pants kept falling down whilst skating because she lost so much weight in training.
The pop star – who was partnered with professional skater Dan Whiston – was forced to splash out on a whole new wardrobe because of her shrinking frame.
Dan said previously: "All Cheryl’s pants are falling down because she’s lost so much weight. Her trousers are falling off too. She’s had to invest in a whole new wardrobe."
Cheryl – who was booted out over the weekend – was struggling on the ice because she was anxious about hurting her spine after she was involved in a coach accident 34 years ago.
The ‘Land of Make Believe’ hitmaker – who was thrown through the windscreen of the bus while her band were on tour – said previously: "I’m terrified of hurting my spine so I shove a back pad down my back. And it does soften the blow but I’m still suffering from my shoulder from that fall [on the ice during training a few weeks ago].
"I’m still having physio all the time and it aches. He does all these lifts and I’m meant to put my arms above my head."
