Chelsea Halfpenny to replace Amber Davies in 9 to 5

Chelsea Halfpenny is set to replace Amber Davies in ‘9 to 5 the Musical’.
The 27-year-old actress – who is known for previously playing Amy Wyatt in ITV soap ‘Emmerdale’ – will take over from the former ‘Love Island’ star, whose last performance will be next month.
Chelsea will make her West End debut playing Judy Burnly in the Dolly Parton musical – based on the 1980 film of the same name – at the Savoy Theatre in London.
Posting the news on Twitter, Chelsea simply said: "erm HI. I CANT BREATHE. (sic)"
Announcing the new cast on social media, the production revealed that Bonnie Langford, Brian Conley, Caroline Sheen and Natalie McQueen will extend their runs as Roz Keith, Franklin Hart Jnr, Violet Newstead and Doralee Rhodes.
The production tweeted: "WEST END CAST NEWS @ChelseaHP will be London’s new Judy from 27 August – joining @Bonnie_Langford, @RealBrianConley, @SheenCaroline and @NatalieMcQueen who are all staying with us! @Amber_Davies7 will return for 3 final London shows on 30-31 Aug, before tour begins. (sic)"
Louise Redknapp will appear as her beloved character Violet in Manchester, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dublin.
From September, the London ensemble will also feature Victoria Anderson, Alexander Bartles, Simon Campbell, Alexander Day, Rhiane Drummond, Demmileigh Foster, Molly-May Gardiner, Llandyll Gove, Ben Irish, Jenny Legg, Natasha Mould, Jon Reynolds, James Royden-Lyley, Giles Surridge, Antoine Thomas-Sturge, Richard Taylor-Woods, Sasha Wareham and Emily Woodford.
The show will embark on an 11-city tour from September 6th, opening in Birmingham, while the West End production is currently booking until April 2020.
