Chase and Status promise new LP this year

Chase and Status are set to release their new album later this year.
The electronic duo – comprised of best friends Saul Milton and Will Kennard – haven’t dropped any new content since their last LP ‘Brand New Machine’ in 2013 but have spent the past year slaving away in the studio working on new tracks set to be ready for the end of 2016.
Speaking about plans for their fourth studio LP, Will – known as Status – exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We actually wrote most of this album in 2015. In October and November we worked in Metropolis studios in Chiswick, which is a world famous studio – one of the best in the UK. Basically we were in there every single day for two months having lots of sessions. We’re about to release the new album at the end of this year."
The ‘Time’ hitmakers refused to divulge who they have collaborated with on the forthcoming release but have admitted Rihanna, who they worked with on her album ‘Rated R’, won’t feature on the untitled soundtrack this time around, although they think she’s a "great girl."
Saul – known as Chase – explained: "Rihanna, no she’s not on this album, we were going to go to her show at Wembley last week. We used to be managed by her management [Roc Nation]. We’re still really close with everyone – they invited us down. She’s great, she’s a great girl. Respect to them for taking a chance with us, the music we do is very different. We’ve got a lot of time for those guys."
Meanwhile, once the new album has dropped around the world, the pair are planning to go on tour but have admitted being away from their families can be tough.
Will said: "It is sometimes anti-social hours, but it’s all good this is what we do. We don’t complain about it too much."
