Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen are to star together in new comedy ‘Flarsky’.
The 41-year-old actress and the ‘Neighbours 2: Sorority Rising’ are confirmed for the movie which is being helmed by director Jonathan Levine.
According to Variety, Rogen will portray an unemployed journalist who pursues Theron’s character, an extremely powerful and unattainable woman who was formerly his childhood crush and babysitter.
The script has been penned by veteran comedy writer Dan Sterling – whose previous work includes ‘Girls’, ‘King of the Hill’ and ‘South Park’ – and he will also executive produce with Good Universe’s Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake.
The movie is being produced by Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures, Theron’s Denver and Delilah Films alongside Good Universe – with Rogan and Theron teaming up with Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Beth Kono and A.J Dix.
Alex McAtee is overseeing for Point Grey and Erin Westerman for Good Universe.
Levine and Rogen are reuniting for the film having previously worked together on ’50/50′ and comedy ‘The Night Before’.
Levine’s other credits include ‘Warm Bodies’, ‘The Wackness’ and upcoming American action comedy ‘Snatched’ which stars Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn.
Shooting on the comic project is due to begin in August.
Until then Theron is busy producing and shooting the spy thriller ‘Need to Know’ for Universal Pictures and she will return to the big screen on April 14 in Universal’s ‘The Fate of the Furious’ and then spy thriller ‘Atomic Blonde’ which is released on July 28.
Rogen most recently lent his voice to animation ‘Sausage Party’.
