Charlie Puth asks Liam Payne for fame survival tips.
The ‘How Long’ hitmaker – who has penned the One Direction star’s latest single ‘Bedroom Floor’ – has revealed the 24-year-old singer was full of advice on how to deal with the pressures of pop stardom
Charlie, 25, said: "I have a lot of eyes on me lately, and it’s really weird for me to be a famous dude, so why not get some advice from a dude that has been famous for a bit longer than me?
"What’s interesting is that he is a bit younger than me but he has things to say when it comes to dealing with this life.
"It might seem a little bit obvious, but it’s cool hearing the advice come from him."
However, one thing he doesn’t need to learn is how to say no to selfie-seeking fans.
He said: : "I’m from New Jersey – I don’t f**k with brown-nosing people too much.
"If I don’t want to do it then I just won’t."
Charlie is currently single, but says when he was working with Liam – who has seven-month-old song Bear with his girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy – there was no talk of girls.
He laughed: "I ain’t getting no girl advice from Liam!
"He’s a good pal but I’m OK."
Meanwhile, Charlie has teased that he’s been in the studio with another member of One Direction – also comprised of Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles – he hinted: "I’m really good friends with Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson too.
"To be in the studio nowadays means sending files back and forth.
"That’s the 2017 version of being in the studio – but in that respect, yes, I have been in the studio with one.
"I can’t really say who."
