Charles Venn and his professional partner Karen Clifton have been eliminated from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 45-year-old actor and Karen, 36, were voted off the BBC show by the ‘Strictly’ judges after they found themselves in the dreaded dance-off against Ashley Roberts and her partner Pasha Kovalev.
Once again, the American pop star was able to wow the judges during the dance-off and they all opted to save Ashley rather than retain Charles for another week.
Explaining his decision, Craig Revel Horwood said: "I truly loved both performances but theirs was the most solid and technically demanding."
Bruno Tonioli explained that Ashley and Pasha were "stronger, more accomplished, more complicated and more exciting".
During his emotional exit speech, Charles explained: "I have to pay extreme homage to this woman here, because Karen Clifton turned me into a promising dancer.
"She has been by my side and supported me, she’s been strict, she’s been solid, she’s been caring and loving, sensitive, intuitive, and I’m adamant that without her I wouldn’t have got to this level."
And Karen was similarly complimentary about her partner on this year’s show.
She said: "Oh Charles, you have been the most humble, the most professional person I’ve ever worked with.
"Thank you for always respecting me as a woman, as a friend and as a teacher. I will never forget this journey that we had together."
