Channing Tatum is talks to star and direct ‘The Son’.
The 33-year-old actor’s producing partner Reid Carolin is in negotiations alongside the hunk to helm the film which is based on Jo Nesbo’s crime thriller of the same name, according to deadline.com.
Kevin McCormick will produce through the Langley Park banner, and Nesbo and Niclas Salomonsson will executive produce.
The novel follows the story of a young man who is in prison for crimes which he hasn’t committed.
The man’s father, a corrupt cop, is believed to commit suicide, but when he learns his dad was murdered he escapes to avenge the crime.
Tatum – who recently voiced Superman in ‘The Lego Movie’ – has a busy year ahead of him and will hit the big screen on ‘Foxcatcher’, ‘Jupiter Ascending’, ’22 Jump Street’ and ‘Book of Life’.
The Hollywood hunk has also been working on the script for ‘Magic Mike 2’, using a bust of co-star Matthew McConaughey’s head to inspire him.
