Cathriona White’s death has been ruled a suicide.
The 30-year-old girlfriend of actor Jim Carrey was found dead at her home in Los Angeles in September and the LA County Coroner’s office has now completed its report stating that her death was caused by "multiple drugs effect".
According to Daily Mail Online, Cathriona had taken a mix of prescription drugs including Zofran, Propranol, Percocet and Ambien and Jim had texted her the night before she died asking if she knew where missing painkillers prescribed to him went.
Three of the prescriptions found at her house were under the pseudonym "Arthur King," and, according to ET, the coroner’s report states: "Given this, it appears likely that the bottles for ‘Arthur King’ found on [White’s] bedside table were the prescriptions he was referring to."
The report states that Cathriona became upset after splitting up with Jim, 54, three days before her death.
She left two notes; one with instructions to have her belongings sold with the proceeds going to her family and another more personal one to Jim about their relationship, which included the line "Please forgive me. I’m just not for this world".
Jim paid tribute to Cathriona following her death, saying: "I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona.
"She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
The on-again, off-again couple first started dating in 2012 after meeting on a film set, but split a few months later.
They rekindled their romance in May 2015 before splitting for a second time.
