Carrie Underwood’s ‘dumb ideas’

Carrie Underwood thinks of "99 dumb things" before she comes up with the perfect idea for her albums.
The ‘Something in the Water’ hitmaker believes she’s a lot more confident when it comes to her own song-writing ability because she understands she won’t get it right first time.
She explained: "I think I’m a lot more comfortable now sharing ideas and being willing to sound stupid because you’re going to say 99 dumb things before you say that one thing where you go, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s it!’ "
The 33-year-old singer – who has 13-month-old son Isaiah with her husband Mike Fisher – tries to take inspiration for her hard-hitting, yet catchy, tracks from friends and family.
She explained: "Some days are better than others [for inspiration]. Mainly, I want to get together with people I like and have fun with and write songs …
"Some days are amazing and we know it, and then some other days are like,’Well, we had a fun day.’ …
"I want to have an album full of potential singles and it’s all about what we’re feeling at the moment.
"Your ideas change too. In the beginning when you’re making the album, you’re like, ‘This one, this one, this one. These are definitely the ones that should be singles,’ and things just evolve and change, so it depends."
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty is currently on her ‘Storyteller’ tour throughout the summer but she’s already counting down the days until she can perform with Keith Urban in Australia.
Speaking to Rolling Stone Country, she said: "We were both going to Australia, so we were like, ‘Let’s go together and just make it that much bigger and more awesome.’ "
