Carrie Underwood wants to keep baby’s sex a secret

Carrie Underwood wants to keep her baby’s sex a "secret for a little while."
The 35-year-old singer is expecting her second child with husband Mike Fisher – with whom she already has three-year-old son Isaiah – and, after revealing over the weekend that she tragically suffered three miscarriages between 2017 and the start of 2018, she’s decided to keep details of her unborn tot under wraps.
Appearing on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Tuesday (18.09.18), the blonde beauty said when pressed on the baby’s sex: "We’d like to just hold on to things for a minute… We’d like to have a little secret for a while."
However, the ‘Love Wins’ hitmaker – who was dressed in black jeans and a dusty pink coat for her appearance – has admitted this pregnancy is a lot different from her first because she suddenly developed a burgeoning baby bump over night.
She explained: "[This pregnancy] is a different ball game [from the first with Isaiah]. I feel like I didn’t look pregnant and I woke up and I looked like this."
Carrie announced that she and Mike were expecting a baby in August but it wasn’t until last weekend that she opened up about her miscarriage ordeal.
She explained: "I had always been afraid to be angry. Because we are so blessed. And my son, Isaiah, is the sweetest thing. And he’s the best thing in the world. And I’m like, ‘If we can never have any other kids, that’s okay, because he’s amazing.’ And I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about? I can’t. I have an incredible husband, incredible friends, an incredible job, an incredible kid. Can I be mad? No.
"[But after the miscarriages,] I got mad. [I thought], ‘Why on Earth do I keep getting pregnant if I can’t have a kid?’ Like, what is this? Shut the door. Like, do something. Either shut the door or let me have a kid."
