Carol Cleveland for Strictly Come Dancing?


Carol Cleveland is in talks to appear on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

The 72-year-old star – who is best known for being the only significant female performer in the ‘Monty Python’ TV series and films – is to take to the dancefloor in the upcoming series of the BBC One dance contest.

Carol – who is has also made appearances in classic British comedies such as ‘Only Fools and Horses’, ‘The Two Ronnies’ and ‘Morecambe and Wise’ – is in talks with BBC bosses and is said to be looking forward to proving that the older generation have still got it.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Carol is confident she’ll be able to give it a go and not just be another old duffer."

The blonde beauty – who recently joined ‘Monty Python’ stars John Cleese, Michael Palin, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam on stage for their ‘Monty Python Live (Mostly): One Down, Five to Go’ reunion shows – could be set to join former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star Mark Wright and Kelly Brook’s ex-boyfriend Thom Evans on the upcoming series, as they are both reported to have been approached to compete.
