Cardi B loved her surprise birthday party – but was annoyed it delayed her eating.
The chart-topping rap star – who officially turned 26 on Thursday (11.10.18) – had a surprise party thrown in her honour by her husband Offset, but the bash meant Cardi had to delay eating for longer than she’d hoped.
In a video posted on her Instagram Story, Cardi confessed: "Hubbs told me that he was gonna take me out to dinner and I appreciate the surprise birthday party and all that, but I’m f***ing hungry right now."
Despite her frustrations, Cardi – who married Offset in 2017 and has a three-month-old daughter called Kulture with the rapper – appreciated her husband’s efforts.
She said: "I’m hungry, but I’m so happy."
Meanwhile, Cardi previously admitted she was "a little bit happier" before she was famous.
However, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper is also grateful she doesn’t "have to worry" about her future anymore.
Cardi said: "My family, whatever they want, they get. Everything that I want to buy, I can get. I don’t have to worry so much about my future … Even though I’m happy, I feel like I was a little bit happier two or three years ago when I had less money.
"I had less people who had opinions about my life. I felt like my life was mine. Now I feel like I don’t even own my life. I feel like the world owns me."
Cardi also revealed she’s determined to create the best possible life for Kulture.
She said: "I do not want to raise my future kids where I was raised, and I know the only way to do it is working, working, working, working, working.
"I don’t want to live in a small Bronx apartment. I don’t want to have three kids that got to share one room. I don’t want my kids to go to school and get gang-affiliated. I don’t want to do welfare. I don’t."
